Cooking with Fire
This event is on May 8, 2017 3:00 pm
Cookin’ with Fire is a blend of Rockabilly, Bluegrass, Blues, Honky Tonk and tasty originals. The band performs it’s “roots rockin’ americana” with flavorful entertainment and good energy. The combo travels regionally playing a wide range of celebrations/events. Cookin’ with Fire includes three full time band members: Ernie, Dino & Doug. Occasionally, a fourth and fifth band member is invited into the mix for added flavor.
Ernie Bradley is a multi-instrumentalist. The range of instruments Ernie can be found playing at any given performance includes banjo, guitar, bass dobro, mandolin, fiddle, auto-harp, and ukulele. Ernie began playing the banjo at age 5 and continued to pick his way to the top. Ernie has won performance competitions playing the 5-string banjo in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. Ernie played with “The Grand Old Opry Tour” and for the Inauguration of President Carter. He is highly regarded as one of the top bluegrass and country pickers in the business. Ernie is also an accomplished song writer, vocalist, and is very active in music education.
Dino Delray has been a singer/songwriter performing for many years in Maryland and North Carolina. Dino is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, bass, piano and drums. Dino turns up the heat during the performances playing guitar and singing many of the band’s lead vocals.
Doug Five is the third member of Cookin’ with Fire and performs on drums, upright bass, as well as his own “DIY instrument creations” that are both unique and acoustically appealing. Doug keeps the band’s inspirational fires burning. Together the bands generates a musical stew which is best described as “Roots Rockin’ Americana”.
