Small Pet and Cat Show

6:00 pm – Indoor Arena
- Participant is required to be in 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts and have a Cat or Pet project(s).
- All cats or pets must be pre-registered via on-line registration by June 15, 2024.
- A poster with 5-7 photos of your cat or pet’s daily routine is due to the Extension Office no later than July 15. Failure to turn in a poster disqualifies the member from the Cat Show or Pet Show.
- Cats and pets will not be allowed on the fairgrounds prior to 4:30 pm and must be contained to the Indoor Arena after arrival and must be removed from the fairgrounds immediately after the show.
- All animals must be approachable by the show officials. The owner accepts full responsibility for the animal’s actions and will not hold the Fair Board liable.
- Judges decision is final
- Cats and pets must be kept under control at all times and may not be left unattended. Appropriate carriers or cages are required.
- No cats or pets will be allowed in the any of the barn areas. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their animal, especially inside the arena, on the bleachers and in the immediate area surrounding the indoor arena.
- An exhibitor may only be show one cat or pet per class (or project). A cat or pet may be shown by more than one family member as long as they are in separate classes (or projects).
- Exhibitors are to follow the 2024 Livestock Dress Code Policy.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN THE EXHIBITOR FORFEITING ALL PREMIUM MONEY

- Participant is required to be in 4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and have a dog project(s).
- All dogs must be pre-registered via on-line registration by June 15, 2024.
- Shot records must be mailed to BCYF, c/o Dog Chairperson, P.O. Box 1302, Martinsburg, WV, 25402 no later than June 15, 2024, or uploaded during registration. Shot records can also be emailed to the dog chairperson at dogs@berkeleycountyyouthfair.org. If shot records are not received by June 15, 2024, the exhibitor will not be allowed to show at the fair.
- Shot records must be current as of August 4, 2024. The only shot required is a rabies vaccination. However, the following shots are strongly recommended: distemper, hepatitis, parvo virus, para influenza, leptospirosis, corona virus, bordetella, and kennel cough.
- Dogs must be removed from the fairgrounds immediately following the dog show.
- All dogs must be approachable by the show officials. The owner of the dog accepts full responsibility for the dog’s actions and will not hold the Fair Board liable. Judge’s decision is final.
- Dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. The exhibitor must use a well-fitting buckle collar, nylon or chain choke. The dog may not be left unattended.
