200’ Dirt Drag Rules
Classes (Subject to change day of event)
- 4.0 & up (4wd Gas & Diesel 1⁄2 ton or larger – 6001 gvw or higher)
- 4.0 & up (4wd Gas & Diesel 1⁄2 ton or larger – 6001 gvw or higher)
General Rules
- Driver must stay with their vehicle while their class is participating. Failure to stay with your vehicle can result in a disqualification.
- Any vehicle that touches the white line on either side of that truck’s lane will be disqualified.
- Winners will return to the staging area immediately to receive staging instruction for the next round
- No speeding or hot rodding in the pit area. Vehicles operating in an unsafe manner can result in a disqualification/ejection from the event and/or fairgrounds. No riders at any time.
- Current and valid photo driver’s license is required for the driver.
- Seat belts must be worn.
- The use of any form of alcohol/drugs is prohibited.
- All drag racing decisions such as winner and disqualifications are FINAL. No appeal process.
- Exhaust may be other than factory. Bed stacks are allowed, Hood stacks are allowed – passenger side exit only.
- Exhaust must be cross-bolted at the outlet of turbo. Minimum of two (grade 5 or higher) 3⁄8” bolts, 1” past turbocharger outlet before any bends.
Racing Rules
- D.O.T. Tires only (no cut tires)
- Batteries must be secure. Truck bed needs to be clean (no trash or other loose items)
- No rails, tube buggy’s, or bikes. Must be full body. (No open wheeled vehicles)
- After the finish line you must stop before the predetermined stop point line, which will be marked on the track. Failure to do so will result in a disqualification.
- Left lane exits first, followed by right lane (at discretion of track officials). Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
- Each class will have a practice round immediately before the competition rounds.
- GM trucks with independent front suspensions are strongly suggested to have sleeves or upgraded tire rods. Any vehicle deemed unsafe will result in a disqualification.
- If truck is equipped with a snow plow bracket, it’s advised to temporarily make a bracket (looking from the side) solid die to it interfering with the sensor pickup. Example – thin sheet of metal/cardboard cutout and zip tied to the side of bracket.
