General rules & regulations

A few simple rules that keep our fair safe, friendly, and fun for everyone — visitors, families, and exhibitors alike.

ACCESSIBILITY
Service animals welcome — therapy & emotional support animals are not
In line with ADA guidelines, trained service animals performing tasks for their handlers are welcome anywhere on the fairgrounds. Therapy animals, emotional support animals, and personal pets are not permitted for the safety of our livestock and visitors. If you need accessibility accommodations, please contact the fair office in advance.

Keeping the fair safe
  • All persons and containers are subject to search
  • No alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, or firearms
  • Smoking only in designated areas — never in buildings, barns, pavilions, grandstand, or amphitheater
★ PARKING & VEHICLES
Vehicle policy
  • No vehicles may be left overnight on fairgrounds
  • Unattended overnight vehicles will be towed at owner's expense
  • Park only in designated visitor parking areas
The Berkeley County Youth Fair reserves to its Executive Board the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and regulations and arbitrate, settle, and determine all matters regarding and to add or amend them as they deem advisable.
  1. Shirt and shoes are required to be worn at all times.
  2. ADA-compliant service animals are welcome. Therapy, emotional support animals, and all other pets are not allowed on the fairgrounds.
  3. Absolutely no alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, or firearms are allowed on fairground premises.
  4. Barn areas close at 11:00 PM daily. Everyone must be out of the barns by 11:30 PM except for those designated by the Livestock Chairpersons. No trespassing goes into effect from 11:30 PM until 5:00 AM.
  5. No unauthorized soliciting.
  6. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. No smoking in any building, barn, picnic pavilion, grandstand, or amphitheater.
  7. All persons and containers are subject to search.
  8. No vehicles are to be left overnight. They will be towed at the owner's expense.
  9. The Executive Fair Board reserves the right to have any attendee removed from the fairgrounds without liability during the fair for cause (including but not limited to threatening behavior, intoxication, or unsportsmanlike conduct).
