Grand champions from each of the 4 divisions return for Best of Show — the top rabbit at the BCYF.

Meat Pen
Three rabbits per pen, judged as a uniform set on weight, condition, and breed type. Sells at the Friday livestock auction.
★ MEAT PEN REQUIREMENTS
3-Rabbit Set · Min 3.5 lbs Each
A meat pen consists of 3 rabbits of the same breed, each weighing a minimum of 3.5 lbs. Judged as a complete set on uniformity, fleshing, finish, and condition. Only 4 acceptable breeds:

Tag-In Date
July 18, 2026, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the fairgrounds. Each rabbit individually tattooed.
Born Date
Meat pens must be born on or after May 25, 2026 to hit the weight class without being overweight.
Sale Order
Meat pens sell 3rd in the auction order (after hogs and lambs, before steers and goats).
Single Champion
Grand & Reserve Champion Meat Pen selected. Champion meat pen sells; reserve is optional based on buyer interest.
